Abseiling in The Peak District
Abseiling originated as a way for climbers to get off mountains safely. It has since evolved into one of the most popular and safest outdoor activities that we do.
Peak District Abseiling is one of our specialties with many natural cliff tops and a railway viaduct to choose from. Many groups enjoy jumping off Millersdale Viaduct as it is quick and easy to get back to the top for another go. There are also viewing platforms for the photographer or to offer support to your friends. Others prefer the slightly wilder or remote feel the crags give and abseiling off a cliff.
Our instructors will talk you through everything and put you at ease before asking you to step up to the edge. They will guide you down and support you if needed until you have the confidence to take full control yourself. We still have a safety back up rope attached though and this is what makes this one of the safest outdoor activities we do.
We also run many abseils for charity up and down the country so if this is what you want please get in touch. We are one of Cancer Research UKs approved providers for their national events but have worked with literally dozens of charities. Please get in touch to let us know if we can help support your event.
Abseiling can also be used to overcome a fear of heights and we can run private sessions on this at quieter times to suit you.
Or if you are looking for a smaller group that wants to abseil locally then let us know. Abseiling can be run as a half day or evening session during the summer months.
