What to Expect
We’ll meet at the start time and begin the day with abseiling at Millers Dale Viaduct, a spectacular location in the heart of the Peak District. You’ll be kitted out with a helmet and harness before walking a short way to the bridge. After a safety briefing and a demonstration, it’s straight into the action.
Each participant will get multiple chances to abseil – with time to grow confidence and improve with each go. The morning session wraps up in time for lunch – you can bring a packed lunch or pop into the café on site to purchase food.
After lunch, we’ll head to a local cave (around 15 minutes’ drive away), where your instructor will provide all the necessary caving kit. Underground, we’ll explore a range of passages and features, with the option to try an underground abseil or take on some fun squeeze challenges – but only if you fancy it. There’s no pressure.
Throughout the day, you’ll be supported by experienced instructors focused on safety, confidence, and making sure you have a brilliant time.
If you don’t fancy a full day, you can book ourAbseiling Experience here and our Vertical Caving Experience here.
Throughout the session, your instructor will be on hand to offer advice, encouragement and technical support – whether you’re trying abseiling for the first time or just enjoying exploring the underground world.
If you want an idea of what we do please take a look at some abseiling and caving videos on our facebook page.
