Outdoor Activities - in The Peak District
Our outdoor activities company is based in the heart of the Peak District National Park. This means we are ideally placed to cater for our numerous customers. These include, individuals and groups of all sizes as well as many charities across the UK. Many of these customers are coming from around the world. Countries such as North and South America, Africa, SE Asia and across Europe.
Dolomite staff are all very well qualified, experienced outdoor professionals with excellent local knowledge. Having such good staff gives us more flexibility in what activities we offer and how we deliver our sessions. A large staff pool means that we can cater for 1:1 private activities through to groups of 80+ so please talk to us about your requirements.
We offer set courses alongside bespoke activity days and can fit 2 good activities into a day. This could be Climbing, Caving, Mountain biking, Abseiling, Orienteering, Ghyll Scrambling or Weaselling.
Thankfully, lot of our clients have taken the time to write reviews on Trip Advisor, who have awarded us their Certificate of Excellence for 5 consecutive years now. As a result of this our reputation for delivering outdoor activities has blossomed. However, social media also plays a part in this with our facebook and instagram accounts being most active.
For our corporate activities we differentiate between team building and team bonding and write specific programmes to suit each businesses needs. To find out more about how we can work together please call us on 01629 814557 or complete our web form and we will get back to you.
Our Team - Dedicated, qualified & experienced outdoor professionals
Steve has been involved in outdoor education and adventurous training for many years. He initially set up Dolomite Training to work with schools and private clients on educational programmes and specialist outdoor activity courses. This quickly developed into an even stronger outdoor activities and corporate development platform. The company focuses on delivering exciting and enjoyable outdoor courses whilst also helping charities raise money through events such as sponsored abseils and walks. As a CIC (Caving Instructor Certificate), Steve loves being in caves and introducing people to this amazing underground world.
Wendy started her career by gaining a foundation degree in Outdoor Education and Business Management. She then worked for Staffordshire County Council outdoor centres for 5 years before moving to the Adventure Service. After 4 years there, she became a freelance instructor in 2015. This is when she linked up with everyone at the Dolomite team. Wendy has a wide range of qualifications and loves to share her enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors with all of our clients. She quickly puts people at ease and always seeks to get a positive outcome for everyone.
After serving in the Royal Marines Simon worked for an Outdoor Centre in S. Wales before moving to the Peak District 10 years ago. This was when he started to do some work for us as a Mountaineering Instructor. He is now our Technical Advisor on all aspects of Climbing and Mountaineering. You will find that he is passionate about sharing his knowledge of climbing from around the world. Simon runs some of our Learn to Lead courses or indeed on any of our Climbing Courses or group activities. He is easy to get on with and has a wealth of knowledge to draw from making him one of our more experienced instructors.
As part of his Army career Paul went through the Mountain Leader and Climbing Instructor awards over 15 years ago to help work on the Army Youth Team. After leaving the Forces he joined Dolomite as part of the staff team and quickly became a real asset to the company. He loves climbing and mountain biking and has a keen interest in physical fitness to keep in top shape. His easy-going manner and flexible approach works well on our courses.
