Now the summer has now drawn to a close and we see the landscape has changed for autumn, we’re looking back on another incredible summer season of outdoor adventure activities here at Dolomite Training. From laughter echoing off the cliffs to muddy boots and huge smiles, this summer has reminded us why we love what we do; helping people of all ages discover confidence, teamwork, and a real connection with the outdoors.
We’ve welcomed schools, youth groups, families, corporate teams and facilitated lots of charity events all across the UK, delivering more than 60 sessions packed with fun, teamwork, and personal achievement.
Here’s a flavour of what we’ve been up to:
Abseiling
Always a favourite! From first timers taking that brave step backwards to confident returners perfecting their technique, abseiling sessions were all about courage and trust. We’ve led several charity events, raising much needed funds for charities such as Nottingham Hospitals Charity, London’s Air Ambulance, Luton and Dunstable Hospital Charity, Guy’s & St Thomas Foundation as well as Maggie’s Cancer Care.
Climbing
With routes for every ability, our Peak District climbing sessions brought out determination, balance, and a great sense of achievement. We’ve completed solo and group climbs here in the Peak District and loved every second.
Caving
Hidden beneath the hills, caving remains one of our most popular activities and this summer we’ve run a whole host of groups escaping the heat and exploring the underground worlds of the Peak District.
White Water SUP
Another cool off activity, white water SUP mixes balance, teamwork, and plenty of laughter. Our stand-up paddleboarding sessions this summer took us through local river systems and even to the White Water SUP Fest, held in Llangollen, Wales. Certainly an event to remember!
Weaselling & Stream Walking
Proof that sometimes the simplest adventures are the most memorable. These sessions focused on exploration, problem-solving, and pure, muddy fun. Our groups took on the challenge and did not shy away from squeezing through the tightest gaps, as well as scrambling over mini waterfalls.
Orienteering
We hosted a number of navigation and orienteering session that help teams develop their map reading skills, all while exploring the stunning Peak District landscapes in the glorious sunshine.
and the rest..
We held mountain biking, team building and 1-2-1 sessions throughout the summer with rave reviews. Every session offered something different, and together, they created a summer full of shared stories and lasting memories.
A Huge Thank You
A heartfelt thank-you to every individual, group, school, family and charity who joined us this summer. Your energy and enthusiasm make all the difference. We also owe a massive thank you to our dedicated team of instructors and support staff, the people who make every Dolomite adventure safe, seamless, and memorable.
