Abseiling in The Peak District
Abseiling in the Derbyshire Peak District can be a relaxing way to start your day. Its a great activity and since its inception, it has evolved into one of the most popular and safest outdoor activities we do.
This activity has become one of our specialties with many natural cliff tops and a railway viaduct to choose from. Many groups enjoy 'jumping' off Millersdale Viaduct as it is quick and easy to get back to the top for another go. The Millersdale abseil also has a viewing platform to capture your adventure on camera or just to offer support to your friends. Some other people prefer the slightly wilder or remote feel of abseiling off a cliff.
Our instructors will talk you through everything and put you at ease before asking you to step up to the edge. They will guide you down and support you if needed until you have the confidence to take full control yourself. We still have a safety back up rope attached which is what makes this one of the safest outdoor activities we do.
Dolomite also run national charity abseil events. We are one of Cancer Research UKs approved abseil providers for their national events and have worked with literally dozens of charities. Please get in touch to let us know if we can help support your event.
Abseiling in the Peak District can also be used to overcome a fear of heights and we can run private sessions on this at quieter times to suit you.
Alternatively if you are looking for a smaller group that wants to abseil locally then let us know. Abseiling can be run as a half day or evening session during the summer months.
