Navigation Course

Our Peak District navigation skills course is aimed at people who would like to develop the map reading skills needed to walk independently across the UK. This One day course will focus on giving you the essential skills you need to navigate your way around the paths, moors and hills that the UK has to offer.

We will build your skills and your confidence as we progress through the day. Our instructors are all qualified Mountain Leaders and will focus on key skills such as route finding, orientating the map, relocating, taking bearings and many more.  This is a practical course and you will also be given the opportunity to lead sections of the journey.  As we progress our staff are there to answer questions and help you make sense of the detail contained within the maps.

At the end of the day we will provide feedback on your progress and identify any areas for further development. If this course is of interest to you then please contact us for further details. We can take bookings at any time of the year and will run a map reading course with as little as 2 people. We offer larger group discounts so please contact us if you have a group of 4 or more
