These terms and conditions apply to all of our activity based programmes delivered in the UK. You will be asked to sign for these when you complete our booking and acknowledgement of risk form. Please ensure that you have read and understand them.

1. Course Fees

1.1 – Currently all of prices are exempt of VAT

1.2 – All Course places must be reserved by completing and returning a booking form and paying a deposit of 50% of the course cost for individuals (or 100% if booking within 30 days of the start date) or 25% as a deposit for groups

1.3 – The balance of the course fee is payable 30 days prior to the course commencement date.

1.4 – In the event that the course fee is not paid in full  30 days prior to the course commencement date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by the client and re-sell the course place.

 

2. Cancellation by Client

2.1 – All cancellations must be made in writing. Email with read receipt is accepted.

2.2 – Once Dolomite Training Ltd are notified of the cancellation in writing they will try to resell the course place(s).

2.3 – In the event that Dolomite Training are able to re-sell the course place prior to the commencement date of the course, the client will receive a full refund less 25% of the course cost to cover administration fees. Refunds will only be made after the commencement date of the course.

2.4 – In the event that Dolomite Training are unable to re-sell the course place prior to the course commencement date the client will be charged the following cancellation fees:

– Your deposit (50% of the course fee or 25% for groups) if the cancellation is made over 30 days before the start date of the course unless we can resell the place (see point 2.3).

– The full course fee if the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the course start date unless we can resell the place (see point 2.3).

2.5 – To cover this eventuality we recommend an insurance policy that includes cancellation of your trip or holiday (see point 5 ).

 

3.Cancellation by Dolomite Training

3.1 – Although every attempt is made to ensure that courses run as scheduled, in the event that Dolomite Training need to cancel a course due to unsuitable conditions or other unforeseen circumstances we will notify the client as soon as possible.

3.2 – Dolomite Training will notify clients not less than five full days prior to a course start date if a course needs to be cancelled because a workable minimum number of participants have not been reached.

3.3 – In the event of cancellation by Dolomite Training clients will be offered the following options:

– Full refund of the course fees already paid.

– Another suitable course on different dates

Whilst all of our staff maintains high professional standards of client care and safety, you must realise and understand that all adventurous activities take place in hazardous terrain and although risks can be minimised they can never be eliminated entirely.

The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) participation statement says that:  

The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own action and involvement.

The British Caving Association (BCA) participation statement says that:

The BCA recognises that caving, cave diving and mine exploration are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.

When booking on any of our courses you must understand and accept the participation statements above and acknowledgement of risk on the booking form.

 

5.INSURANCE

  1. Dolomite Training Ltd. is fully insured for Public Liability. It is recommended that all participants are covered by some form of travel and personal insurance; normally these policies cover cancellation, personal accident and personal liability.

The BMC offer personal insurance for these activities.

6.Gift Vouchers

All gift vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months of the original purchase date.
